BCMPweb Backup Policies
Backup Procedures include:
A nightly differential backup that’s kept for two weeks (14 Days). A differential backup is a copy of all the files that have changed since the last full back up 14 days ago. Basically, this means that you can restore anything you have done over the last 14 days.
RAID-1 hard drive redundancy. This involves writing data to two hard drives at once. If on hard drive fails the server instantly and seamlessly switches to a mirrored hard drive, avoiding any service interruption. Constant server monitoring ensures your data is kept safe and that your hosted websites maintain maximum operational status.
Back ups are taken off site regularly.
Restoring Data
Restores of data are not part of the hosting cost by default and so may incur a separate charge.
While it is very likely we can restore any change made in the past 14 days some file formats (flash, word docs) occasionally corrupt, this means that we may have the full list of days to choose from. This has occurred in our experience this but is possible.
It is very unlikely that we cannot get at least 1 copy from the 14 days backup set, although statistically possible this has not occurred when we have attempted recovery to date.
